In my previous post I talked about some of the reasons why people get pimples on their bum. This embarrassing problem can happen to anyone and it is surprisingly common, so I couldn’t look at just the causes without providing you with some sort of solution! So read on if you want to find out more.. below you’ll find out how to get rid of pimples on your butt forever, so you never have to deal with this humiliating condition again!

I did some research and found the following solutions that can be used to help treat pimples on the butt.

Improve Hygiene

In all cases you’ll want to improve your hygiene in the area, by following these general guidelines:

  • Wear loose-fitting, breathable cotton underwear wherever possible.
  • Shower regularly, wash the area using a gentle cleanser.
  • Cooler showers and/or avoiding warm environments that may lead to excessive sweating.
  • Light exfoliation using a washcloth, loofah or dry skin brushing (avoid scrubbing hard as this may irritate the skin and make the problem worse).
  • Wash your towel and bedsheets/pajamas regularly
  • Stop using fabric softener in your wash, as the residue left in clothing can irritate the skin
  • Use a clothes washing detergent specifically for sensitive skin to reduce exposure to potentially irritating chemicals

Diagnosing the Cause of Your Butt Pimples

If you haven’t already read through my other post on what causes pimples on the butt, go have a read so that you can be in a better position to diagnose what might be causing your own problem with butt pimples.

I recommend trying some of the solutions below that should give you results if, like most people with this problem, your butt pimples are caused by folliculitis.

Most of the below solutions can be trialed to see if they work for you without any adverse side-effects and for a reasonable price. However, if after trialing some of the products recommended, you find that these solutions are not working for you then your butt pimples may be caused by a different skin condition, in which case you should see a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

Products That Can Work For You

One product that looks like it really works is ‘butt acne clearing lotion‘.

The manufacturer of this product offer a 60-day return policy with 100% full refund (less shipping costs) refund if you aren’t satisfied with the results. If you read through other customers’ reviews, you can see quite a few people posting to say that it has worked for them, and the manufacturer even claims that it is possible to start seeing results within 24 hours!

Another post on a forum was by one guy who had really positive results with extra virgin olive oil, a cheap and easy solution.

If you’ve determined that your pimples on your butt are caused by overactive sebaceous glands, then any traditional acne over-the-counter treatment option may work for you, such as creams or cleansers containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.

Or if your issue seems to be dry skin, creams such as AmLactin can be great for treating keratosis pilaris and dryness issues.
