Brazilians are world renowned for their booty, having very perky, round and full butts. This has become an extremely coveted look lately as people are noticing the attractiveness of a shapely butt more and more. If you’re not Brazilian though, you still have options! Why not learn some so-called ‘brazilian butt lift’ exercises, that can bring you closer to the lifted look that you desire without the expense, risk and stress of having to endure an invasive surgical procedure?

In this article you’ll learn why butts are so big (both in popularity and size!) in Brazil, how all this attention on booty is driving popularity of a certain surgical procedure to record new highs, and how you can achieve some of the same effects through specialty exercises for the butt.

Brazil’s ‘Booty’

If you were to find an old fashioned pirate map where X-marks the spot, Brazil might just be the location of that prized booty treasure chest. Arrr, me hearties!

Brazil is the number one location for quality ‘bum bum’ (pronounced boom boom with a short ‘o’ sound) – the Brazilian word for booty.

The culture over in Brazil is extremely butt focused, probably because the weather is so warm in the country which leads to many showing off their bodies at many of the beautiful Brazilian beaches. If you were to walk around you would start to notice that many women have very envy-inspiring asses.

Why do Brazilian Women have such Nice Butts?

It’s probably got a bit to do with genetics, with a multiracial genepool of just the right amount of Portugese/Indian, African, Native American and European combining to produce a fabulous butt. Women in Brazil are renowned for their butts.

Another heavy influence is the butt-centered culture in Brazil. Work out at any gym in Brazil and you’ll find that much more emphasis is placed on the glutes and building a bigger, better butt for patriotic display at the beach.

The exercises that are popular in Brazil are much more focused on the butt than in American society, and this might well be one of the contributing factors to why Brazilian women have such nice butts. That and they really know how to showcase their butts off with flattering clothing! The V-cut bikini is a perfect example.

A healthier lifestyle in general when compared to the average American diet and exercise routine is yet another reason why Brazilian butts are the best in the world.

Reproducing the Brazilian Butt

Brazilian butts are so well respected and envied, that many people strive to copy this look. The term ‘Brazilian butt’ was born, and is even now a feature many aspire to achieve.

So how does one reproduce this look as the average non-Brazilian? There are a couple of options – either cosmetic surgical procedures, or a diet and exercise routine.

Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery

Cosmetic surgery to enhance the butt is known as butt augmentation, and has skyrocketed in popularity recently, as more Americans are waking up to the idea that booty=bootyful! (beautiful).

A specific type of surgery was even named after Brazil – the co-called Brazilian butt lift. This cosmetic procedure involves molding the butt to be perkier, rounder and more evenly shaped through fat grafting from other areas of the body. The procedure uses your own fat so is a more ‘natural’ alternative to artificial fillers like implants and plumping injections.

One downside of the surgery is that it can be very expensive, and is an invasive procedure with long recovery times. Another risk is that you can’t be sure that the graft will ‘take’, so your end result is a bit of a gamble.

Exercise is a Free and Easy Alternative to Try First!

You don’t necessarily have to turn to surgery to get a Brazilian butt. Exercise (the right kind of exercise) is a great way to firm, lift and tone up the shape of your butt – and it’s free!

Because the butt is shaped by both fat and muscle, building up the size of the muscles in the butt can amplify and boost up your butt shape, just like a Brazilian butt lift.

Of course, you get added advantages with building a but through exercise instead of surgery – and that is a stronger and more powerful butt, which can lead to overall weight loss through a faster metabolism, better posture, and more physical power.

Best Exercises for a “Brazilian Butt Lift”

In Brazil, there is a lot of effort made to work out the glutes in most exercise programs. To get the same types of results as a Brazilian butt lift through exercise, you want to be doing the right kind of exercises.

The best exercises I have seen for getting a Brazilian butt were introduced to me by the Brazil Butt Lift exercise program – actually designed and put together by a native Brazilian personal trainer, Leandro Carvalho! If you’ve never heard of him, Leandro is actually a personal trainer of Victoria’s Secret Angel Supermodel Alessandria Ambrosio, and other high-profile celebrities swear by his work.

So, without further ado, let me give you the run down of the best Brazilian Butt Exercises: ones that will lift and shape your booty to it’s very best!

  • Donkey Kicks
  • Donkey Kick Crossovers
  • Kneeling cross kick up
  • Kneeling diagonal rainbow
  • ‘Capoeira’
  • Clamshells
  • Arabesque
  • Passe Kickbacks
  • Frog Jumps
  • Squat – side leg lifts

These are all exercises found in the Brazilian butt lift program, which you can find specific exercises listed in each of my reviews of the Brazil Butt Lift workout reviews:

On Getting the Brazilian Butt Lift Look Through Exercise

Brazil Butt Lift is one of my favorite butt-lifting workout programs that is designed to be done at home, and it has all the specific, glute-targeting exercises you’ll need to lift, firm and tone up your butt. One important key when working out to gain and increase the size of muscles is to use weights, as heavy as you can handle without sacrificing good form.

For the Brazil Butt Lift exercises you’ll need to use ankle weights, dumbbells and a resistance band – all excellent home-workout gear that you will use time and time again in a variety of different workouts.

Have a go at the exercises above, work hard, and you’ll be flaunting the perkier, toned butt that you deserve!

As a fan of awesome butts, I found this article quite interesting even though I am not looking to get a “brazilian” butt myself haha.

I would think squatting heavy weights helps a lot in getting a nice butt?

Hey Ermin, thanks for stopping by! Well, ladies don’t mind a good butt on a guy actually! I notice that the term “Brazilian butt” is not gender specific, so you should totally join in!

Squats are a great compound exercise that work the glutes, but I personally find that my thighs tend to take over for that move, which is why I prefer ones which target the butt more specifically.

Lifting heavy is a key ingredient, but it’s not the only way to get muscle gains – any kind of progressive overload (be it extra weight, or extra reps, or even extra imbalance/instability) will work to shock the muscles into growing bigger and stronger.

Squats can definitely help, but there are also other great butt exercises out there which can target the butt from other angles and help with getting that nice rounded and firm shape!

I have been using DermalMD Glute Booster cream for about a week now, and it has already made my booty feel softer and more firm. After applying the cream, I feel slight tingle on my butt checks, but nothing that I can handle. I assume that is just the cream doing it’s job. I absolutely recommend this butt cream!!

Hi Consuela, I hear about the DermalMD glute booster cream quite regularly through comments like this one, I may have to do an official review of it myself sometime. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
