Here’s the annoying thing about being a guy trying to find underwear that will actually flatter your butt:

There are very few good options out there… .

..and if you’re trying to find something at a physical store? Pretty much close to no chance.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

I’ve scoured the depths of the internet searching for the best men’s butt enhancing underwear so that you don’t have to, and I’m going to show you all the best options available for those who want a bit of a butt boost.

Butt enhancing underwear isn’t just for women, it can be for anyone who wants to get an instant boost to the way their butt looks. While you’ll probably find that butt padded underwear for men is a bit more difficult to find in physical stores, you’ll be spoilt for choice online (along with the advantage of being able to browse embarrassment-free from the comfort of your own home).

Can Men Wear Butt Enhancing Underwear?

Of course they can! We all know that women love a cute butt on a guy, so why shouldn’t a man dress up his derriere a bit if he wants that extra bit of attention?

It may seem a bit laughable at first, but check out these guys in the video below who tried out padded underwear. It’s not for everyone, but quite a few were actually pleasantly surprised!

Contrary to any ’embarrassment’ that you may feel for wanting to have a better butt, it is quite common for anyone, male or female alike, to want to have a nice figure. Shapewear is becoming a booming industry and more and more popular as people are realizing the benefits and ease of use of these types of products.

While a lot of women’s shapewear can appear very obvious in its function (the cut of women’s shapewear is usually very far from sexy and skimpy lingerie, for example), men’s padded underwear doesn’t necessarily suffer from the same problem. This means that you can wear butt enhancing underwear as a man, without it being overly obvious that you are wearing shapewear instead of normal underwear. Not bad!

Another Purpose – Comfort!

Other men who might be interested in purchasing butt padded underwear are those who don’t have much natural padding on their rear and tend to find sitting on hard surfaces for long periods of time to be uncomfortable.

Padding in the seat of your underwear can be an easy and convenient way to cushion your butt against feeling sore in these situations – there is even an application to preventing ‘saddle butt’, if your butt gets sore from sitting all day, especially if you happen to do a lot of horseriding, cycling, or ride a motorbike.

Of course, a pleasant side effect if you decide to go this way is the visual enhancement effects that padded underwear can add as well.

What Types of Men’s Shaping Underwear are Available?

There are heaps of different styles available, and different butt enhancing garments have slightly different purposes. The main types that you will come across are:

  • Padded butt – adds extra inches to your butt for those suffering from ‘pancake butt’ syndrome
  • Padded front – adds a bit extra to your package bulge for good measure
  • Butt lifter – usually don’t come with any padding but are designed to lift your butt to give some extra volume
  • Waist slimmer – may make your butt look better as a result of making your waistline appear slimmer
  • Package separator – designed to separate your package from your legs, so you don’t have to be constantly adjusting things ‘down there’

In this article we’ll look mainly at the butt-padded underwear (which often come with an option for front padding as well).

Types and Styles

There are two main types of butt-padded underwear available – those with built-in padding that is stitched or molded into the fabric and cannot be removed, or you can also get garments with purpose built ‘pockets’ that are designed to accommodate removable butt padding inserts.

Built-In Padding

Butt padded underwear mens
“BoyBubbles” butt padded trunk from Bubbles® Bodywear.

Pros:

  • No messing around with changing or positioning butt pads.
  • Security knowing that the padding is not going to move around during everyday wear.
  • A ‘wear-and-go’ solution, with no extra work required on your part.

Cons:

  • You may need to hand wash these since you can’t remove the padding , check the care instructions on the garment.
  • There are no silicone pad options available, these are generally foam padded only. Silicone is often favored because of its more realistic appearance and feel.

Removable Padding

Pros:

  • Versatile. The underwear can be worn with or without padding, and some come with padding options for the front package as well as your butt.
  • Different amounts of butt-boost are an option – you can mix and match different sized pads with different undies to create a variety of looks.
  • Economical – one set of butt pads can be used with multiple pairs of underwear, so you may only need one set of butt pads.
  • Can wear these with silicone butt pads for a more realistic feel, in case you are expecting any grabbing or slapping of your ass!

Cons:

  • You need to remove the pads before washing, so they will require a bit of ‘set-up’ before wearing again if you decide to use the pads.
  • Butt padding can have the potential to move around within the pockets if you buy an inferior product, though this isn’t a problem with higher quality brands.

Butt Pads with Customizable Boost

With the removable padding option, you can choose your size of butt padding to cater to how much extra boost your want. A good vendor will offer several different types and sizes of pads, that will give you different levels of extra padding from anywhere between 1/4 inch to  3 inches of extra ‘junk in tha trunk’. It really makes for a totally customizable system.

Another one to be aware of is that there are different types of butt padding available – foam or silicone. The silicone pads are a bit more expensive but offer a much more realistic feel if anyone were to grab or slap your butt (a high possibility from us females if it’s looking fine).

Styles Available

Padded underwear for men primarily is in the form of briefs or trunks. You generally won’t find anything like loose fitting boxer shorts with padding, as the padding needs to sit close to your butt so that it doesn’t move around too much and look odd.

Where Can I Find Men’s Butt Shaping Underwear?

Your main problem will probably be finding where to purchase butt padded underwear in men’s styles, as they are rarely available in physical stores.

However, most intimate apparel online stores that specialize in enhancement or shapewear garments often have a separate womens and mens section, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find male garments to suit your needs.

Buying Online.. Some Things to be Aware Of

Because padded butt underwear for men is mostly found online and it can be difficult to select a product without seeing it physically, there are a few things you should look out for when purchasing a pair of butt padded jocks over the internet.

Detailed pictures – look for up-close photographs which show how the underwear looks, preferably on a model. This will quickly allow you to see how realistic the product looks, and save you from looking like you’ve stuffed a pair of socks down you jocks when you get your product and try it on.

Visible padding – inferior products have very obvious padding, which doesn’t merge well with the natural lines of your body. Think of a wad of padding sitting on top of the middle of your butt cheek and you can get a rough idea of how ridiculous you might look. While you might be able to ‘soften’ this look if you are wearing thick/heavy clothing like denim jeans, other clothes may not be so forgiving. Go for a quality product with good sizing that has padding that enhances your butt while still remaining undetectable.online shopping

Returns policy – always check the returns policy of the vendor you are purchasing through, especially if purchasing online. With underwear, returning items can have some restrictions or even be denied due to health and hygiene considerations. A good company will allow you to return a product if it is unworn and unsoiled. A good vendor should allow for you to try the garment on over the top of your own underwear and still be able to return it if the sizing is incorrect.

Sizing charts – if buying online, sizing charts will be essential to trying to pick your correct size, the more detailed the better. Even if there is no sizing chart available you should be able to email the store owner to ask further questions. Look out for unresponsive or otherwise ambiguous customer support, which may indicate an inferior company.

Reviews – look for product reviews of the specific product you are purchasing, as you can gauge how the product looks and feels to wear through other people’s experiences. Be weary of products that have no product reviews, or negative reviews, for obvious reasons.

My #1 Recommendation For Padded Underwear

Love My Bubbles by Bubbles® Bodywear is my preferred retailer for women’s butt padded underwear, but they also have a great product range for men. This company has been in business for over 10 years, have a great range, fantastic reviews, and an excellent returns policy. They also have detailed information on each one of their products, including great sizing charts, FAQs and user reviews, so that you can be exactly sure of what you are buying.

Bubbles Bodywear mens

The best all-rounder I have seen that is hugely popular is the very aptly named “Jackpot!” boxer brief, which has hidden pockets for both front and back padding. Being removable pads, you have the option to wear with or without the padding inserts, so they are very versatile.

The Bubbles Bodywear men’s butt padded underwear range goes retails from around $37 – $69 US, which is a bit pricier but you can be assured that you are getting a high quality product that will last many years. The removable nature of the padding and the hidden pockets means you can use these as regular underwear without the padding if you so choose.

If that’s a bit out of your price range, then there are still plenty of options, a few of which I have listed below (available from Amazon), with prices ranging from around $20 – $40 US.

A few products which have good reviews can be seen below, though some of these appear to have padding which is a little bit more obvious than the hidden padding styles offered by Love My Bubbles.

Feel Foxy also offer a men’s padded butt option.

Conclusion

Butt padded underwear is a great product for men to enhance their butts, and many of the garments for men also come with the option to enhance your package as well which can be an added bonus you may or may not choose to use.

A lot of men suffer from having a flat butt which can be embarrassing or uncomfortable when sitting, and enhancement underwear is a great fix for those in this category – providing instant comfort and a huge confidence boost which can increase your success with women.

    Hi Jolie,
I think your article is well written and definitely informative. Not something I would have ever thought about before, but I’m sure there’s plenty of interest in today’s society.

Thanks Tom – it’s becoming more and more common, after all, who doesn’t want to look good to the opposite sex, and these type of products can be an easy (and discreet) method to help you along the way.

I had no idea this kind of thing for men existed. Haha package separator? Seems like that would need some getting used to, but maybe require less adjustments.

I’m surprised it’s quite cheap CK underwear. Perhaps I’ll need to invest. I know ladies like good undergarments as well.

      Hey Vince,
Thanks for sharing. You’re probaby not alone, I doubt many men would know about these products as they’re not exactly that well marketed in mainstream media!
The way I see it, the removable padding options could work well if youre looking to give something like this a go, as it always gives you the option to just use whatever product you buy as a regular pair of jocks if you tried it out and didn’t like it.
I also was not too sure about the ‘package separator’, lol. I’ll leave it up to you guys to figure out what that one entails!

Haha, well apparently research has shown that you get between 1/10th of a second up to 7 seconds to make a strong first impression, and once formed they can be hard to shake… Maybe the product makers were thinking down that line when they decided to include this feature!

Considering the number of padded bras out there, women have nothing to complain about if you pad the package.

Great article! I’m a 30 year old gay guy that has always been self conscience of my butt. I have one, just not one that fills out my jeans at all. And as I find that since I am interested in guys and this is something that I look for in them maybe it’s a flaw that some people find in me. I have tried all the brands above. There are a couple of things that I have found that I hope will help other people. The removable pads are the only way that I have found works. It would be great if there was an option that they were built in and didn’t lose their fit by the 8th or so wash- I’m still looking. But as for the removable options – most come with a type of foam that rips or is very difficult to get in and out of the underwear. My suggestion is to buy a pair of underwear that you like with the pockets in the butt area and buy the silicone or the foam pads from the Bubbles for guys website. I have found that their foam pads are the best quality and their silicone is great as well. I like the look and realistic feel of the silicone pads. However, there are two negatives that I find – one is that it is not breathable so if you sweat a lot, i wouldn’t go this route. I haven’t found a pair that has a good enough barrier that doesnt make you feel like you have Saran Wrap taped to that area. It’s not a great feeling. The other thing is that they are heavy and you tend to have to make readjustments often, but getting an underwear with the lift option as well as the pockets for the pads tend to help with this problem. If you are someone who has this butt problem, but you have extra fat back there I would try the options with the lift first. If you are skinny and would like to not be skinny there as well I would try the pads. Thanks for this forum.

This is some great feedback Will, thanks for taking the time to comment!

I definitely agree that the removable pads are the way to go for durability, especially if you’re going to be wearing the article quite a bit. Bubbles are great because of the quality of their pads – they actually have rip-resistant edges so you don’t get the degradation problems that you might see in cheaper alternatives.

That’s an interesting comment about the breathe-ability issue when wearing silicone pads, perhaps this comes down to the fabric type of the underwear that you are using the pads in. I haven’t experienced this problem myself. I just can’t go past the silicon pads because I think they just look and move better, and Bubbles have a super realistic version that is really awesome.

      Hi Kenneth,

The thickest butt pads I know of are made by Bubbles Bodywear – they do a XL/XXL removable foam padding that is 3 inches thick! Or, if you want a more realistic look their removable silicone pads go up to size 4XL/5XL (2 inches thick). I found this FAQ on the Bubbles site that recommends particular products for maximum butt boost 🙂

If you go for underwear with a permanent padding built in to them then you can only go up to about 2 inches of thickness. In my opinion with this level of padding the removable pads will give you a much more realistic look.

My suggestion would be to check out the premium silicon pads from Bubbles which I wrote about here, they are extremely realistic and come in the 4XL/5XL size. Whichever way you go though, make sure that you pair the pads up with a set of underwear that has pockets big enough to fit the pads!

Bubbles also have excellent customer support and if you head over to their website they can help you to match up any products so that you buy compatible pads and underwear. Let me know if you need any more help!

        Hi Jolie
I contacted bubbles to help me choose the correct size pads for my husband. He is very slim (only 30″ waist) and small hips but unfortunately they said he would’nt be able to use the XL pads as they are only for larger men. This is a shame as my husband has a really flat bottom and I wanted the thickest I could get for him. For his size, they told me they were only 3/4″ thick. If anyone knows where I can get the thicker pads for him could you please let me know.

          Hi Linda,
That’s a shame that they don’t have a smaller size! I wonder though, if you could improvise something like two of the smaller sized pads together, to add a bit of extra ‘bulk’? I mean doing something like purchasing two sets of a pad that will fit him, and then doing something like gluing them back to back so they are double thickness each. I can’t think of any thicker pads from other suppliers that I’ve heard of otherwise, sorry!

A skinny guy with a giant butt will look retarded, use moderation or it will backfire. 3/4 is more than enough, even for bulkier guys, and avoid the types that moves the ass up to the lower back, as most do.
